Peterson’s Field Guide To Birds – I’ve had mine since college and we still use it weekly. I keep it and a pair of binoculars by the kitchen window.
Christian Liberty Nature Readers – Great living books that we’ve used from the beginning of our home education journey.
Janice Van Cleeve Science Books – I could just list 10 of these and be done with my list. You can use these experiment books as your entire elementary science curriculum. We did for one year!
World Of Animals – Such a great resource for a wide variety of animal information about a wide variety of animals. Great images.
Big Book Of Earth and Sky – The “Big Books” from Master Books are amazing. They are packed with information, visually stimulating and fun. My kids love spreading the book out and crawling around on the floor reading.
Complete Book of Human Body – We love any of the internet-linked Usbourne books!
Magic School Bus – Aren’t these everyone’s favorites??
Peterson’s First Guide To Trees – This is a good guide for early elementary students.
The Usbourne Encyclopedia of Science – We go back to this book over and over.
What Is Chemistry All About? – A fun guide to chemistry facts and how chemistry is all around us.
