Engineering Week kicks off on Monday!!
The science and study of engineering gets left out in many curricula and homeschooling science lessons. People get nervous just talking about engineering. My thoughts are that ,just like most subjects in the STEM realm, people shy away from because they don’t understand it. They were not taught in a fun, hands-on manner. All STEM subjects are very hands-on and that’s the way they should be taught!
Next week, look for hands-on projects and products that will inspire your young engineers. We’ll explore a fabulous tool for young engineers called Bionic Blox (including a giveaway!!).
Darci from StemMom.org has a great hands-on engineering project for you.
Stef from Educating Laytons brings you a fun way for your kids to explore engineering and building concepts. I’ll share some more engineering activities and resources for you to add to your homeschool science studies.
Don’t miss a great Engineering Week starting Monday!
