Welcome to the last day of Curriculum Giveaway Week at The Homeschool Scientist! Each day this week, we’ve featured a favorite homeschool curriculum of mine and then gave an opportunity for you to win a copy. Those contests are still open until midnight June 23, 2013.
Apologia Science
We talk a lot about Apologia Science around here. It has been my daughter’s science curriculum of choice for the past 3 years and she is looking forward to Apologia General Science this coming school year. You can read about our adventures with Apologia Human Anatomy and Physiology in the Science Saturday Series that ran during the 2012-2013 school year.
Thanks to Apologia, I get to give one reader of The Homeschool Scientist a complete Apologia Zoology 1 Flying Creatures textbook, the brand new MP3 audio CD, and a Notebooking Journal. I am so excited to give this away!!
Apologia’s Zoology 1 Flying Creatures is a full year elementary science curriculum. It is written in a conversational tone and includes lots hands-on activities. The CD is great for listening to the text in the car or at home with multiple students. Many students comprehend better when they read along in their textbooks while listening to an audio version. The Notebooking Journal (also available in the junior version for early elementary) is a great way to record what the student is learning. It, also, serves as a great study guide.
Use the Rafflecopter form below to enter to win! Contest ends midnight Sunday June 23, 2013.
Don’t forget to register for these other great Curriculum Week Giveaways.
my favorite flying creature is the hummingbird.
My daughters favorite Flying Creature is probably the baby sparrow that hurt his wing falling out of the nest and we had to take it the the rehabilitation center. 🙂
Eagles
bats. Would love to learn more about them and I plan to make bat houses with my kids this summer. They are great for getting rid of mosquitoes! Although since we’ve put bird feeders right outside our family room window we also love seeing the variety of birds that come!
This is awesome – I’m still searching for a science curriculum for this year!
My favorite flying creatures are the Eastern Bluebirds that are nesting in our bluebird box this spring!
Our favorite flying creatures are the bluejays and cardinals that nest in our backyard! They are such a lovely sight every day. Jays are very protective and nurturing parents, and cardinals will come out and bring a little bit of color even in the winter. They are a beautiful site near Christmas, red in the green pines.
We love the winged ones! Corvids and song birds and…it’s a long list.
I love birds, but especially cardinals since they were special to my Grandma who has passed away.
My favorite is the humming bird.
My favorite flying creatures are small colorful birds. My son loves falcons, of all kinds.
I love the bat and the eagles!

Loons!
Hummingbirds
Sweet chickadees! 🙂
Our favorite flying creature is the Great Egret. We have one that lives at our nearby pond. Its a beautiful creature and we love to watch it while we are on a nature outing.
Bald Eagle
My favorite flying creature is the hummingbird. I have several hummingbird feeders but one is a foot away from my office window. I am so close that I can see their little tongues when they sit up from drinking! They are one of God’s most beautiful and amazing creatures! Thanks for the chance to win!
