Great science tools don’t have to cost a lot of money and can still be lots of fun! We find some of the best stuff in the dollar bin.
This foam puzzle of the brain is complete with labels. Both kids love puzzles, so this is a fun way to teach them that their brains have different parts. The labels are introducing them to new terms that make the kids curious to their meaning and function. So much better than a flat picture in a text book.
Now, I have to keep a timer handy so the kids can race. The winning time so far is 13 seconds!
What is your favorite, inexpensive science find?

I love this and would love to find one for my daughter! We have found the clear plastic frogs and humans at the dollar store–it has been a few years.
Where on Earth is that dollar bin? I would like to find one for our homescool classroom! I have found a lot of great teaching supplies in dollar bins at Taget, & also at Dollar Tree.
