Homeschool Science Giveaway

Science can feel like one of the hardest subjects to homeschool well. Between lab reports, grading, complicated concepts, and wondering if your student is truly prepared for the next level of high school science courses or college-level expectations (if your student is college-bound), it’s easy for us parents to feel overwhelmed.

That’s why I have partnered with College Prep Science for an unbelievable homeschool science giveaway! Options include an online live class, a self-paced class, and two in-person options. (Including one for 3 members of a family, 1 being a parent.)

HOMESCHOOLSCIENCE GIVEAWAY 1 1

High school science courses are not just for future STEM majors. Every student benefits from learning how to think critically, solve problems, take organized notes, manage assignments, and understand the world around them.

Science is part of building life skills.

Science helps students better understand the world around them, from weather and health to technology, nutrition, medicine, engineering, and the environment. Even students who never pursue a STEM career benefit from becoming thoughtful, curious, informed adults.

With a solid science class and passionate teacher, science teaches our kids how to think through problems when they don’t immediately know the answer. Students learn to observe carefully, ask good questions, follow directions, analyze information, and pay attention to details. All skills that will serve them well throughout life.

But, not every student naturally loves science. “I’m not a science person,” may be what you hear from your 8th-12th-grade student. This is when a dedicated and experienced teacher can bring out the natural curiosity in our kids and completely change students’ attitudes toward and experiences with science.

Let’s be practical, science is also a part of state graduation requirements. So, whether your student is planning to start a business, attend community college or university, or enter the workforce directly after graduation, they still need to meet the state science requirements for graduation.
