Get Ready For International Homeschool Spirit Week
Are you ready to show your school spirit? Your homeschool spirit that is! Join The Homeschool Scientist and CurrClick.com as we celebrate International Homeschool Spirit Week with lots of other homeschoolers around the world September 23-27, 2013. It’s going to be a week full of fun and craziness all to show how much we love homeschooling!
How To Participate In International Homeschool Spirit Week
Throughout International Homeschool Spirit Week, your family can participate in fun theme days.
Pajama Day – Monday September 23, 2013
For my son, pajama day is everyday. If he is in the house, he has his fleece hockey pajama pants on. (You’ve probably seen them lots of times in blog post photos around here.) I guess he shows his homeschool spirit everyday.
My daughter and I usually dress for the day in the early morning. Not on the 23rd. We’ll be in our jammies!
Homeschool Away From Home Day – Tuesday September 24, 2013
This can mean field trip day or school at the library or head to the local coffee shop. My kids are lobbying for the whole enchilada. They are hoping to start the school day with some coffee and bagels while watching CNN Student News. Next, the kids want to head to the library to grab some books and then off on a field trip from there. You’ll have to watch instagram, facebook or twitter to see where we’ll end up.
Crazy Hair Style Day – Wednesday September 25, 2013
For me, this might mean letting my hair air dry. Anyone know what I mean? Huge frizzball. My daughter is having fun experimenting with her crazy hair day do. Hard telling what she’ll settle on.
Volunteer Outside Your Home Day – Thursday, September 26, 2013
There are plenty of places in your community that love volunteers. Start looking now. Pet rescue organizations, church, food banks, homeless shelters to name a few. The kids and I volunteer at our church’s food pantry. It’s a great experience for all.
Super Hero Day – Friday, September 27, 2013
This day is great for the young ones. They are all super hero wannabes. Older kids can have fun with it, too. They might want to make up their own super hero. Let them be creative.
