Jonathan Park Is Back!
For years, the Jonathan Park radio drama has been entertaining and educating audiences of all ages with the adventures of the Park and Brenan families. Our family just started listening to the series and it was one of the highlights of our homeschool year.
The Jonathan Park audio series is a creation science based drama that contains something for everyone. There is cliffhanging drama and adventure, science, Biblical truths, and family values.
The series follows the Park and Brenan families as they run the Brenan Museum Of Creation and are part of the Creation Response Team. Their adventures take the families around the world finding proof of the creator.
Why I’m A Fan Of Jonathan Park
Jonathan Park is one of the first radio dramas that has appealed to our entire family. My son and I usually don’t do radio drama. Boring. We usually leave the radio dramas for my husband and daughter and go do something else. The Jonathan Park audio series keeps the whole family on the edge of our seat wanting to hear more.
This series actually supports the Biblical view of creation with science. Too many times, the Biblical view of creation is supported by the Bible without any scientific proof. That is fine for a Christian who sees the Bible as the infallible word of God and believes in creation by faith, but what about those who do not believe in the Bible and want the scientific proof. Bringing the Bible alone to that conversation is not enough.
Jonathan Park delivers scientific evidence for a creator and the Genesis version of creation. Information sources are even given so the listener can fact check or dig deeper. Even though there is a lot of science talk, it is presented in a way that children can understand.
Jonathan Park supports moral standards and family values. In this world of broken homes, broken relationships, disrespect for authority, and disregard for moral standards, the Jonathan Park series reinforces family, truthfulness, honor, and respect. It is so good for our kids to listen to this in action and learn how to apply it to their own lives.
Jonathan Park shows faith in action. Everything the Park and Brenan family does is centered around their relationship with Jesus Christ. They pray about everything, give scriptural examples of why they make their decisions, and they live their faith. This is a great example for families trying to move their knowledge of God from their heads to their hearts to their hands. As a Christian parent, I love this.
The Re-launch!
Jonathan Park fans were saddened and in a bit of a panic when they thought the series was not going to be produced anymore. I saw people gobbling up the last supplies of the series CDs at homeschool conventions this past spring. I was one of those people!
That’s why I was so thrilled to learn that Jonathan Park found a new home, new episodes are in the making, and old episodes are being re-released!!
