Shark Unit Study Links
Our kids love Shark Week on the Discovery Channel. (Shark Week Activities) We all find it fascinating and terrifying at the same time. In the past, I have used the kids’ Shark Week fascination to jump into a shark unit study while the kids are still excited.
I have put together a 90+ page shark unit study that covers everything from shark teeth to tail design. Really amp up this unit study with the shark teeth packet we sell in our store.
Topics covered in the unit study include:
- Shark teeth – types of and design
- Shark “skin”
- The different ways sharks birth their young
- Ocean ecosystem food chains and food webs
- Parts of a shark’s external anatomy
- Parts of a shark’s internal anatomy
- Shark Tracking
- Plus, order our small packet of real shark’s teeth and “dig” into several hands-on activities using the teeth.
Use this shark unit study with students K-6th grade. Although, we do have some excellent research topics for middle and high school students. Plus, everyone will enjoy the shark teeth measurement activity.
