It’s hard to concentrate on academics during the holiday season. Kids have gifts, cookies, and parties on their minds, and often, parents do, too. We all just want to relax and enjoy time together.

These Christmas chemistry activities have all the fun of the holiday season, plus your kids will learn as they do them. They will explore how molecules react to one another, how heat affects molecules, and more. Enjoy!

Christmas Chemistry

Learn about solubility and chemical reactions by Dissolving Candy Canes. We have included a printable lesson that is appropriate for a wide range of grade levels.

Mix creativity with science and make Shrinky Dinks. We have included a printable lesson about monomers, polymers, and copolymers. The printable can be used with a wide range of grade levels (even MS and HS). We have included 28 different Shrinky Dink templates for all occasions.

Make a crystal snowflake ornament
