Printable math board games are an easy way to add a little variety and hands-on practice to your child’s math lessons. They can be used alongside your math curriculum to reinforce skills. They are a way to reinforce math skills, or simply give students a break from other math work.

For students who struggle with a particular math concepts, games can also provide a more relaxed way to practice. If you have a child or student who has dyscalculia, you’ll understand the pressure and its effect on their self-esteem.

We also used them to introduce a skill, ease anxiety surrounding a specific skill, and build fluency in a math skill.

Keep a few printable math game boards ready to use. You may opt to laminate the game boards. Then, keep them handy for a time when needed

Math games not only reinforce math skills, but also help build strategy skills. You can ask questions like, “How did you figure that out?” or “What strategy did you use?”

These types of math activities also provide a relaxed, fun atmosphere to talk about math and have a positive experience with it, without worrying about answer-and-check practice.

Below are the various game boards we have. When you input your email below, you’ll receive links to all of our available printable math game boards.

I hold a master’s degree in child development and early education and am working on a post-baccalaureate in biology. I spent 15 years working for a biotechnology company developing IT systems in DNA testing laboratories across the US. I taught K4 in a private school, homeschooled my children, and have taught on the mission field in southern Asia. For 4 years, I served on our state’s FIRST Lego League tournament Board and served as the Judging Director.  I own thehomeschoolscientist and also write a regular science column for Homeschooling Today Magazine. You’ll also find my writings on the CTCMath blog. Through this site, I have authored over 50 math and science resources.
