Learning By Destruction
A few months back, I shared our Reverse Engineering adventures. We invited a friend over to take apart stuff like a computer keyboard, a bathroom scale, and a mixer. The kids got to see what makes those devices work.
That was not a one-time deal. We actually look forward to blenders, cell phones, and printers breaking. It’s so fun! You can read all about it and see why I encourage Reverse Engineering.

My son loves to take things apart. If he could include this in his science journal, he would love it. Thank you for the idea.
We took apart a very broken computer, but I didn’t think to have them write about it.
