Earth Day is celebrated each year on April 22 since 1970. It was originally proposed Sen. Gaylord Nelson of Wisconsin as a day to educate the public about the effects of pollution on the environment. Today, Earth Day is observed in over 192 countries as a celebration of the Earth and to bring awareness to environmental concerns.
There are so many ways to celebrate Earth Day with your kids. You could take the scientific approach and learn about the earth and environment or you could make fun crafts.
