Instagram Weekly Wrap Up

Last week, I took the advice of Stef from Educating Laytons and created an Instagram account for The Homeschool Scientist. I am so glad I did! Now, you can follow along and I can keep track of our homeschool science adventures. Let’s look back at the past week via Instagram.

We saw dinosaurs at the Creation Museum.

The ponds and gardens at the Creation Museum are amazing. I want to go back to do a plant study!

At the Newport Aquarium, the kids got to touch horseshoe crabs and whelks.

Seeing the sharks in the Newport Aquarium swimming right over us was a perfect way to cap off our shark study.

Watching the Weather Channel coverage of hurricane Isaac, prompted a short study of hurricanes. The kids learned about how hurricanes form and then created some hurricane art.

Our local library just installed this live bee hive in the kids section. It is awesome! We ended up taking a couple bee books home. Looks like we might have a short bee study next week.
